
Brenda Ibarah is a multi-disciplinary artist and writer working in film, theatre, television, and audio.
Since 2025, Ibarah has worked with the African Theatre Magazine as a writer and contributor.
Ibarah was part of the Tebere Arts Foundation Emerging Artists Lab where she trained in writing, acting, and directing for theatre and audio dramas. She was also an assistant director for the 2021 Tebere Arts annual production Tropical Fish. In 2022, she performed in Rope, the Tebere Arts annual production.
Her audio play Make A Joyful Noise! was among the plays presented at the first-ever audio installation at the Kampala International Theatre Festival in 2022. The play was also aired on the independent Swiss stations, Radio X in December 2022 and Kanal K in March 2023.
Ibarah was part of the 2023 musical theatre and acting program at YenzeTheatre Conservatoire where she was trained in the foundations of musical theatre.
